چکیده

Objective: The Hounsfield unit (HU) is the most common value to assess stone formation and a predictive factor for management success. In this study, it was aimed investigate prediction of hardness using systemic inflammatory response markers. Methods: 192 patients (61 female 131 male) who underwent conventional percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) between 2015 2020 were reviewed retrospectively. Patients with malignancy history preoperative urinary tract infection excluded from study. Patients’ neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet (PLR) HU kidney Stone, which obtained NCCT, recorded data. Results: mean age 47.2 ± 14.11 (11-82) years. average patients’ stones 1135.47 362.19 (348-2096). location grouped as pelvis (n:64, 33.3%), single calyx (n:14, 7.2%), two calyces (n:93, 48.4%) staghorn (n:21, 10.9%). subgroup analysis, when divided by location, negative correlation found N/L in calyceal group, positive stones. Among these correlations, only pelvic group statistically significant (r=0.318, p=0.03). Assuming an arbitrary cut-off below 1000, there no NLR (r=0.266, p=0.171). However, above (r=0.145, p=0.045). Conclusion: findings suggest that could be used biomarker choose appropriate helpful anticipate predicting value.

Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio and platelet to lymphocyte ratio can predict the severity of gallstone pancreatitis

BACKGROUND Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) predict severity in various diseases. In this study, we evaluated the value of NLR and PLR as prognostic factors in acute pancreatitis (AP). METHODS Patients with AP were prospectively enrolled from March 2014 to September 2016 at Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine. NLR and PLR were obtained at adm...

Neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio and platelet-lymphocyte ratio in evaluation of the development of polycystic kidney disease

Background: It is well known that the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are available markers of systemic inflammation, and increased inflammation is along with progress of chronic kidney disease (CKD). The inflammation is risk factors for increased morbidity and mortality in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). Therefore, we evaluate the ass...

Diagnostic Value of Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio in Crohn's Disease

The aim of this study is to investigate the diagnostic efficacy of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), neutrophil-to-monocyte ratio (NMR), lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and non-CD controls. These ratios were all derived from complete blood counts. Two hundred and six participants including CD inpatients and non...
